Kor-FX Immersion Technology: 'Feel' Your Video Games with Emotional 'Surround Sound'

Just when you thought controlling your video games with whole body motion was cool, a new gadget hits the market which brings you even closer to the action.

It's called the Kor-FX, and it's immersion technology actually let's you 'feel' the game, both physically and emotionally.

According to its creator Shahriar Afshar, a visiting physics professor at Rowan University in New Jersey, Kor-FX replicates the method by which your brain feels physical stimulation.

Players feel such things as falling rain, loss of balance, or sudden gforces (from quick movements). You'll even experience a heightening in emotional reactions such as crying and excitement. Shahriar calls this 'emotional surround sound'.

It looks like an oversized set of headphones, and hangs over your shoulders. Vibrations reach your chest cavity synchronized with game sounds, even events which can't always be heard. It works with any appliance that has audio output.

His company is Immerz, and they plan to release Kor-FX before this Christmas for around $200.
