Commodore 64 Returns as a Retro Keyboard based PC

As a little bit of nostalgia for the long time computer fans amongst us, a new version of the 'Commodore 64' is being released - by Commodore USA, LLC.

Their all new, all-in-one Commodore 64bit Phoenix PC can be configured with dual or quad core Intel processors, up to 2 terabytes of hard disk storage, and 4 gigabytes of DDR RAM.

Other features include:
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100
  • HiFi sound chip
  • Four USB ports
  • One DVI port
  • Removable 2.5" hard drive
  • Slimline optical drive (blue-ray, dvdrw, etc)
  • Touch pad
  • Built in stereo speakers
  • Aluminum construction
The Commodore 64bit Phoenix is available with either Ubuntu Linux or Windows 7 pre-installed.

Commodore USA also features several other keyboard based PC's, and will soon be launching a series of low power, low cost, 'computer on a chip' design keyboard computers, netbooks, and tablets.
